Page Sketch Design Challange

I had a blast with the layout.  The paper is from Paper Studio a Hobby Lobby Brand, and the flowers are things that I have collected from swaps.  The letter is part of a big pack of sheets of pre-punched letters that I am loving.  I had to outline the letter with a black sharpie marker so they POP.  I had enough paper left to make a card or a new layout.

I am having a blast with the design team for Red Carpet Studio .  This week is an awesome sketch challenge   Here is the sketch below.  I can't wait to see what you do with it.  Read below for the challenge information.  You could win a $15 gift certificate.

Special thanks to Heather from Cricut Inspired Layouts for letting us use her sketch!

Stars are all over Hollywood... whether they are celebrities, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, or in the sky! We thought it would be fun to provide you with a fun, movie-themed sketch (notice the Title and Sub-Title features along with the arrows representing 'play' buttons) for this week's challenge!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Scraptastical Kreations! They are giving away a $15 gift certificate to the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge.

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday September 18th and will receive a special badge for their blogs. Challenges run from Sunday - Saturday evening, and winners are always announced the Tuesday after the challenge ends in order for the design team to have enough time to vote.

Maximum Ride Scrapbook Page

I have been hanging on to this photo for 2 years.  My son spent the entire 2010-2011 obsessed with the Maximum Ride book series by James Patterson.  I wanted to design a page for that.  As a design team member for RED CARPET STUDIO we had a challenge to design a layout without in words and then this photo came to mind.  He covered his mouth and held up his book.  I didn't really need any words.

The wings were printed on ivory paper on my computer and then I cut them out.  I then added a diamond glaze to have the wings pop off of the page.  I know it is simple and I was adding things here and there but all of the elements I added took away from the photo.

The challenge this week is a "silent" layout challenge - create a layout without using any words, journaling, letters, etc.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Close To My Heart consultant Candice Fields! She is giving away the La Belle Vie Kit to the lucky, randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge.

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the layout design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions.
